At Queensland Veterinary Specialists, we provide payment options to assist you in ensuring you are able to get the best care for your pet.

For patients that are admitted to hospital for diagnostic tests and treatment, a deposit on admission is required. When your pet is discharged, the outstanding amount will be finalised.

We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS, cash and direct transfer.

We also offer payment plans through third party providers. We are currently able to offer plans through VetPay, Zip and AfterPay.

If your pet is insured, we will work with you to make your claims process as seamless as possible.

GapOnly®

GapOnly is an innovative payment service that works with selected pet insurance brands, so you can access your pet insurance benefit right away for eligible expenses. To check to see if your insurance provider is partnered with GapOnly® please click the link above. 

How to claim using GapOnly®:

If your pet insurance brand offers GapOnly, let our team know you’d like to submit a GapOnly® claim for your pet’s treatment.

  1. We’ll lodge a GapOnly® claim on your behalf, and it’s assessed in around 10 minutes. Any longer and the team will let you know so you can decide whether you want to stay or have the claim processed as an eClaim instead.

  2. Once the claim’s been assessed and approved, you simply pay the gap (the amount not covered by your pet insurance policy) and go. 

A GapOnly® claim can be processed:

  • Monday – Friday 8:00am – 10:00pm

  • Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm
