Nick graduated from The University of Queensland, School of Veterinary Science in 2011, commencing an emergency and critical care internship at Pet ER in 2012. He then spent two years in emergency practice at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and The University of Queensland, Veterinary Medical Centre.

In 2014 he made the move into the anaesthesia department of the university of Queensland and commenced work as a clinical anaesthetist. In 2017 he commenced dual residencies in anaesthesia with the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and the American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. He completed his residency in 2020 and submitted his thesis for a Doctor of Veterinary Clinical Science in late 2020.

Nick has a clinical interest in multimodal anaesthesia and analgesia and has training in advanced nerve block techniques to provide optimum analgesia for all patients. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his partner and their new daughter.
