Queensland Veterinary Specialists has the only pet specific MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) unit in Queensland. The MRI unit is a diagnostic tool, providing high quality images of body parts which would be impossible with traditional testing. The most established use of MRI in veterinary practice is for evaluation of brain and spinal cord disease. There are however many other applications such as locating and defining the extent of tumours, locating deep foreign bodies and soft tissue injuries.
The MRI is an exciting development in veterinary science. Queensland Veterinary Specialists are now able to provide the most advanced imaging to pets available in Australia. |
